We are going thru divorce aqfter 16 yrs of marriage. My ex thinks he should have the house even though we built it ourselves. I want the house because I am raising 2 of his children. The land deed is in his brothers name. Is there a law or ruling somewhere telling me of a loophole so I can aquire the house.? he has the land and animals and vehicles.

Unfortunately, the brother is the one in control because he owns the land it sits on… else you can basically move the house to another location, it looks bad. I would advise you for long term satisfaction, to file a lien against the property and someday when they want to sell it they’ll have to deal with you. For now… your best option is to have him agree to buy you out.

Best of Luck!
