What are my legal rights to stop a wage garnishment and appeal my case in court?

My divorced husband' attorney placed a wage garnishment through my employer for 75,000 to cover his attorneys fees. I never knew that this hearing took place in court in order to defend myself and his request was signed my the court. What are my legal right to stop the wage garnishment and appeal the case in court? Please advise. Thank you.

If I were you I'd hire a lawyer. You certainly can appeal the wage garnishment.

It was not mentioned if it needs to be a family law attorney or otherwise.

Yes, I would do it through a family attorney.
