Are military allowances included when calculating child support in Indiana?

My husband just joined the army and is modifying his child support order to reflect his new income. The recruiter told us that his allowances shouldn't be used in his support obligation since they're considered non-earnable benefits. When he's out of training his largest allowance will be taken away anyway once he lives on post. In Indiana can allowances be used as income to decide child support?

The state you live in does not have any bearing on whether they are or aren't. That's federal. A soldier's allowances are considered non-earned income anywhere he goes, so they won't be considered with his child support.
