If you go into a recruiting station with your relative they should be able to help you. You will need you relative because they will ask him for information like his ss # and what not and by law can not disclose personal information of your relative oto anyone other than him.

How do I find out if a person served in the marine corps
I have a relitive that states he served in the Marine corps back in 58 to ? but has no proof of this and His brother served in the air force and his other brother served in the army and navy and both of them have no recall of him ever serving in the arm forces.As for my self I take great pride in being a Marine and I will not stand by and see this person impersonate a marine or any other branch of the arm forces please help me with this. This person in question is my Uncle.

I called the local recruiter and was informed that I was to call the FBI. I don't want anyone to go to jail but I need to know so I can inform my uncle to stop or I will let the goverment handel it. Is there any other way to find out if my uncle served or not ?
