Can a soldier be in trouble if legally separted but still collecting money for family on paycheck and not giving any to them?

Yes the soldier can. Also, the military will ensure that ex spouses and children get support that is owed them from the soldier.

Honestly, really depends on how DFAS (Defense Finance) wants to proceed. However, once it it reported, he won't receive it any more, though if he has kids, he'll get money for them but he'll be expected to pay support.

Thanks, It's all confusing for me, but he in my eyes was stealing from the government and I don't think its right.
