Can an employer video tape (with audio) a training session without written consent?

A private ambulance company held a training session for a municipal fire department in the state of Massachusetts. They told us we would be video taped (with audio), but never asked permission, written or otherwise. Is that legal? Can they legally show the video to others without our permission?

Actually, in most states they are not allowed to video tape or voice record if it is done so secretly. By continuing to speak or by staying, you are giving your consent should they ever need to use it. This is true in many incidents like when you call customer service and they say "this call may be recorded..." by staying on the line and speaking after you have been made aware that they are or could be recording is the same as giving consent.
