Can I claim my mother on my income taxes

My mother lives with us. She received SS and a small interest account of about 2000.00. We supply a major amout of her living requirements.

If she has lived in your house for at least 6 months and you provide at least 50% of her expenses (mortgage, food, etc.) then yes you can claim her.

Jodi is correct...use the 50% six month rule.
