CAN I SUE PROFESSOR AND SCHOOL?

I found out that my professor has given me a false grade which needs to be changed. I have contacted her to make changes to my grade but to no avail. I have evidence showing that I did not receive some of the grades she has factored into the whole calculation of my final grade. My professor has given me a bad grade which is going to lower my GPA and eventually prevent me from getting on a nursing priority list. This list recommends that students have good GPA before they can even stand a chance of been accepted as nursing students in my school. But I think this professor is going to cause me a whole lot of inconvenience if my grade is not changed. Is it possible to sue her and the college for inconvenience especially if I have evidence showing that my grades were calculated badly?

Make an appointment with the dean, and bring your proof with you.

Yeah, make an appt with the dean. there is no need to go suing her or the school.

Take any and all proof that you have that your grade was calculated wrong and see what he can do.

Spending more time and more money to hire a lawyer and go to court is not a real solution. I think these days we get angry and want to hit people where it counts, the pocket book, but honestly this will not help your situation.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to handle yourself like an adult. Not that I don't sympathize because you certainly don't want to miss out on the enrollment window because I know that nursing school is very difficult to get into and you don't want to waste another semester, but what you need to do is make a considerable effort to talk to the professor. It sounds like it was an honest mistake which I am pretty sure he/she will take the time to correct.

If you can't resolve it at that level, talk to the dean and keep going up from then.
