It's different for each state and they can base it on different things once they ask basic questions and get the information. You may have to get information from the Jobs and Family Services- the application can be printed on-line if their website provides it. Visit your county's website and see if they have helpful info for you. If you know someone else who have applied for assistance with food stamp or child care, sometimes they are given paperwork and that show's an income table.
