The planet wobbles, this means things change it creates life. It also means periodic climate change. However everything has a purpose, oil is sunlight and atmosphere from long ago. Safely stored within the earth, creating a balance we do not even yet understand. (everything has a purpose like algae in the oceans, fungi on the forest floor.) If we are already starting to heat up because of regular climate change, it may not be a good idea to add more green house gasses into the atmosphere. If mass amounts of methane are released it will be a bad sign as this is more potent than CO2. It is not really a concern per-say, however toxic pollution, and chemical pollution are more a concern than global warming. Glad to help.
