I have a friend a nurse. She makes $80 an hour. Travelling nurses make much more. Also when they travell the hospital pays for their over night stays.

It depends on the State in which you reside, the credentials (years of school), RN, LPN, and the establishment where you seek employment. Private care pays better than hospital settings. Check out CareerBuilder.com. The site gives the approximate wages for all types of employment.

It really depends on the area of the country and if you choose to become a travel nurse as well as the specialty area you go into. Because I have know some traveling RNs to make over 100,000 do ing correctional psych er med.
