I have a 1720 rpm motor that I want to use to turn an electroplate press. But I need to reduce the rpm down to 10. How do i size gearbox for this

Wow that a drastic drop in rmp's , it would take some big gears to drop that speed down , you would probably come out cheaper to find a motor with less rps rather than tring to find or build such low geared box , this is going to take some engineering , if you could find a gear that would fit or could be adapted to your motor that has 172 teeth on it you would have have you 10 rps from your motor them you will have to have some sort of gear the other end of the drive ,
if that gear only had 5 teeth on it it would bring your rps back up to 20 rps your going to have to use a series of gears to make is drop but maybe you can get the general idea at what im getting at .
