I have a question about child support.

My fiancee was incarcerated from April 07 unitl March08. While incarcerated he was served with child support papers. The facility that he was in did not take him to his courtdate so his child support began. When he got out of jail he case was $2500 behind. Now he is incarcerated again for child support, they want let him get a paternity test or anything. Is there anything that we can do about this?
