I have a sister in-law who has been mentally retarded since age 3 she is 54
Cheryl has been retarded since age 3, she came to Ohio 6 years age to live wiht her sister and was asked to sign papers to take her name off of stocks investmetns she had had since a child approx $6,000. she was taken to a guaranteor and Scudder investments says it was legal. Her sister had died and I'm her appointed guardian. I said she should not have been allowed to do this because she was handicapped. I have taken it to the Attorney General in MO and the secretary of state and they cannot do anything. Scudder investments said I need to get hold of her sisters husband and he needs to go to court to clear the estate. Her sister had no estate and he will not do anything to help us get this mess cleared up. I would like to knkow how it is possible that someone could just take her in and let her sigh her name to something and not be held responsible for it; afterall I have to be responsible to the court system how can Scudder investments just take her small amount of money and get by with it?
