Gee, how fun would that be. You could totally disrupt civilization. You could go back and get pictures of those who started each of the great religions and get actual accounts of deeds. You could warn Ceasar of the plot against him or you could manage a successful plot against Hitler. You could warn the Incas and Aztecs about the threat from new comers. You could encourage the Vikings to extend their colonies in Vineland. You could go back and grab snapshots of dinosaurs and have all kinds of fun with the Creationism museum somewhere in the south.
Yes, you could truly disrupt the world. I agree with Umbrella though, it would be fun to have a conversation with the founding fathers.

I'd have to go back to the height of the old kingdom in Egypt. There are so many things that they could do then, they we with all of technology can't do today. It would be amazing to go back and document all those things and figure how HOW they were able to know everything that they did.

I would travel back to the birth capitolism and convince the people the that it will only cause crime, suffering and that all we need is free in the earth. Everything on this earth beside us humans lives in harmony. It makes no sense to me that we live this way Besides, having the crutch of worrying about bills and the fear of losing our possessions prevents us from evolving spiritually. Makes you think that some body knows this and wants to keeps in control. WHAT YOU THINK HAPPENS. With that being said take a look at all things with this new wisdom. thats what i would tell them.
