Is gas reimbursement different than milage reimbursement or is it all the same?

Can you get reimbursed for your gas and milage separate?

Say I paid $20.00 for my gas and traveled 50 miles, would I get 50 x $.50 and $20.00 for the gas that was used

The answer is, no, they are not the same. Mileage reimbursement refers to the monetary amount paid per mile traveled. Gas reimbursement refers to the reimbursement of actual gas expenses. Gas reimbursement is always going to be more than mileage, unless the mileage reimbursement is based upon exactly how much your car gets to the gallon.
