Both yes and no, it's complicated and confuseing like most intellectual property rights. If you have a legitimate copy of the music on something else CD tape even 8 track. then you have what is refered to as a intellectual property liscense. with the right to backups act you can have a digital copy of that, so therefore you can download one from limewire. but it is copyright infringment to download anything that is copyright protected and you do not have a intellectual property liscense.
