Listing income twice...and....

I sell electricity for Stream Energy. The "selling arm" of the company is called Ignite. I received a 1099-Misc from Ignite with my income listed. I am using turbo tax, and listed the 1099 amount, but I am having to list it again under "my business." It looks like on the summary sheet, that it is listed twice and it dropped my refund down dramatically. Is this correct? Is it to be listed as income twice - both 1099 and my busines?

Also, I adopted a rescued horse from the Humane Society last year and was told I could deduct some expenses for her. Where would I list that, under donations?

Thank you so much. I am on a deadline.

No, you should only list the income once. If it is your business, ingnore the 1099 and list income and expenses under your schedule C.

Good luck.
