Being married itself does not affect your credit score, but when you go in on joint accounts like a mortgage, you will get the interest rate in accordance with the lowest credit score.

So in essance, being married doesn't change your credit score, but the accounts that you share and their stadings will affect it.

It doesn't affect it directly. but it does effect it if you two get a loan together or a shared account. Then it will affect both of your scores.

Jodi is right. If you apply for a loan together, like a morgage your they will check both credit reports and based off of both they will calculate your interest rate.

Best to work on upping your credit score before you get married. Square away debt, and contact any companies with mark on your credit report that are wrong. Yes errors do happen.
