May be a bad unit , and they are cheap so replace it, and it might be telling you some thing, did you keep your paper work on this unit, what does it say, and have you replaced the battery, the papers that came with it might tell you that it is wanting some thing.may be a cleaning or batt, or needs toi be replaced

My smoke detector has been going off every night at 4 am
Since Tues (3 nights ago) my smoke detector has been going off around 4. It is not continuous. It is intermitten, It will beep about 4-5 times, stop, and start again and beep another 4-5 times. We get up and check everything, but nothing is on fire, no smoke anywhere. This intermitten beeping goes on for anywhere from 5 minutes to 1/2 hour. What is causing this?
