Payback for annual evaluation

Hi,

I have been working for almost 2 years. I start on feb 2006. I should get my annual evaluation on Feb 2007, but it was not until Dec 2007 I received my review. After I got my check with all the payback, I checked with my Account Director to see from far along did my office pay for it. And he said that my manager only told him to paid me start on May. Is this legal? Shouldn't I get paid from Feb 2007?

Please advise...

So was this a bonus that they were paying you? What does your contract if you have one say? I'm guessing that you get and annual bonus and they were suppose to give it to you in Feb, but you did not get it until Dec. The payback - is that the taxes that were deducted from it? You'll have to pay those taxes and if the company is offering to pay you for such a long delay then that seems generous even if they don't compensate for the whole amount. I am a little confused, but if you give me some more details I can try to help you alittle more.
