Can I have a power of attorney on my son who lives in a different state than I do?
He lives in oregon and I live in arkansas.

When your son prepares a properly notarized Power of Attorney for you it does not matter what state you live in. Make sure you have the "original" notarized Power of Attorney. It may cost a few dollars extra, but your son should also "record" the Power of Attorney at his local court house.
