So how many other of you are now kind of addicted to this site?

I just signed up today after it was forwarded by a friend of mine. It's fun and I like seeing the threads. I think its a great concept as I've experienced, what do the rest of you think? Also, since I'm not one of the developers for these guys, I can ask the questions they probably would like to ask but haven't or won't:
1. Do you think this has the potential to catch on with all the forms and message boards out there?
2. How do you feel this stacks up to Google Answers?
3. Competition - what do you see out there?

Lastly, what do you all think of this site? I like it. Very easy to use.

This site seems to be doing very well. It is way to easy to spend time on it going through and finding new questions to answer or questions to ask.

One of the next features that we want to work on an role out is emailing you when posts that you asked or answered in had a reply to it. As of know, it is kinda hard to know when a question you asked was answered.

To answer you actual questions..

1. I think there is alot of potential to spread. The site just needs more users, more links to it, and to start showing up in Google search results, and it could really take off.

2 and 3. There is no Google answers, unless you mean the relaunched Russia only version. The main competitor in the QA space is Yahoo Answers.

The e-mailing when answered would be great. Another thing that might be fun is to have the poster pick a winner but also have the respondents rate the best responses. Maybe just for some categories. Might be fun and it would be interesting if the group comes up with a different idea of a winner than the person posting. As Westword does with their Top of Denver - they have a reader's choice for some, not all of the categories.

I'll keep this live for awhile and see who else posts.

Why not, worked in the gladitorial arenas. Actually, that would be a fun take on it. Too many thumbs down for a poster and he/she is outta here.

This site is great because you can put your 2-cents in on anything. Everyone is an expert at something.
