South carolinas child support laws

As far as a father who gets behind cant get a review for his case. he never took a blood test he was only 15 when the girl had the child. 2 years later the female took child support out on him.he was very young and was not sure of all of his rights. it is now 9 years later and every time he gets behind he ends up in jail. his daughter does not live in the same state anymore. i know someone has to be able to help us or tell us what his rights are.

Well the law is that she can name anyone as the father of her child and she can file for child support. The burden of proof of parentialy is upon the father. So you need to take a parently test and if you end up not being the father then the support would be stopped. If you are the father you will have to pay until the child is 18 years old. You should be getting visitations if your paying support. You can also file a motion with the court to modifly the orignal order saking to lower your payments. If your in the rears you will still be responiable to make up those back payments. So unless you can prove you are not the father you are stuck.
