Strictly commission based employee who works 10+ hr day's, employer doesn't pay for supplies, and pay checks get 1/2 in check(which is taxed) and 1/2 in cash. What should I look out for

I am a commission based employee, filled out a W2, I work from 10am to 8pm about 10hrs 5 days a week, was working 6, with no designated brake's. Am I entitled to any kind of over time? Since I am a W2 employee should I only be only be scheduled for 8hrs a day. I filled out a W2 and my employer does not take care or reimburse for any work related expense. Can I write the items I have purchased off on my taxes. We receive paychecks but then one day with out consulting me they started paying me 1/2 of my pay in check (which is taxed) and 1/2 in cash, which I usually don't see until a week after the pay date.
Please advise!
