Will a g-device work any better with a n-wireless router?

I have been using a linksys#wrt54g router for over 3 years. i just purchased a g-device for streaming music. will i get any benefit from using a d-link #dir-655 n-router with this g-device? if so will it work with my linksys g-adapter or will i need to get a d-link adapter?

Yes, only because the n series has a larger range and passes through walls a little better than g.

In addition, you must remember that if you choose to set up a WEP, or WPA encryption, you will still need the 13 to 17 digit code either manually entered or loaded onto a USB device to access your wireless network.

I recommend setting up encryption, otherwise "war drivers" can locate and use your ISP connection at their whim.

The main reason behind N networks is their security features.
