As I stated before... depends on the charges and state but here is what the maximums are in Texas.
Some of this also depends upon previous record and sadly, the mood your judge is in, and if you have an attorney, whether or not the judge likes your atty. Susu

Class A misdemeanors - § 12.21.:

An individual adjudged guilty of a Class A misdemeanor shall be punished by:
(1) a fine not to exceed $4,000;
(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed one year; or
(3) both such fine and confinement.

Class B misdemeanors - § 12.22.:

An individual adjudged guilty of a Class B misdemeanor shall be punished by:
(1) a fine not to exceed $2,000;
(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days; or
(3) both such fine and confinement.
