Divorce is very hard on all kids, but it can be extremely hard on autistic children because they have a harder time dealing with scheduling and emotional changes. The best thing that you can do, is be honest and set up a steady schedule from the beginning. It takes time to adjust, but as long as the schedules don't change your child will adapt.
