Can This Baby Be Mine??

Ok I was wondering what the chance of my ex's baby being mine? Ok I first had sex with her April 9 2007 and the baby was born October 23 2007. the baby weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 21 inches long. And went home the next day. and i have already started the process to take a paternity test so please dont tell me to get one but i was hoping to figure out what everyone thought. my friends say that they dont think its mine and even my friend that has 2 kids doesnt think that it is mine. please dont leave me any dumb ass answers. Yes i have counted the days weeks and months and it doesnt make sense to me. she claims that i am the father but it doesnt seem right to me. what makes it even weirder is this guy who used to be my best friend and who knew my ex before me was pushing me to be with her and i didnt want to be then i tell him that i was getting a paternity test done he completly stopped talking to me but i would just like to hear what everone has to say on the issue.

I just punched the numbers too

april 9th is the 99st day of the year
oct 23rd is the 296th day of the year

197 days between the two

that is 28 weeks

this is about 6.5 months

since a full term pregnancy is 9 months, to pop out at 6.5 months, 2.5 months early, that would be quite the premi child.

Unless that kid is fighting for its life, living in an oxygen box being watched 24/7 by the nurses and doctors, I really doubt that kid is your.

I would take the DNA test for sure, I don't think it is yours, and I'm guessing that neither do you.

Most of my kiddos weighed right about that at full term, 40 weeks. The survival chances of a 28 week infant are less than 50% and it would weigh in the neighborhood of 3lbs, and be in a neonatal intensive care unit. It is much more likely that she was already about 10 weeks pregnant when you first had relations.

Other than a DNA test which you are alreadying doing another thing you could ask the mother is to sign off and let you see her dr. notes from the pregnacy. The dr. on the orginal visit would have written down how far along she was. taking what she had said the child had to have been concieved in the middle to end of january. but hey atleast you can give her some cheep adivse and have her look at her black book in january and see who the daddy really is.

According to the "conception" calculator, she would have most likely conceived this child between Jan 26 - February 3. I would bet $1000 this child is not yours - if she insists you can take her on Maury. No seriously, getting the paternity test is a great idea.

Oh btw - here is the conception calculator that I used in case you want to forward it to her.

You need to get a grip. You already know that baby is not yours...by your calculations. You already knew to get a paternity test. You say it doesn't make sense to you...and you don't want any dumb ass answers. DUH? OK?

There is just no way this baby is yours..i had my son 2months early and he barely weighed in at 3lbs and was in neonatal care for a week..thank god i could take him home but he was sooo small for sooo long..but healthy!! anyway, if you feel in your heart this is not your child, you want nothing to do with the mother, id just let her be. if she wants to claim you are the father it will be up to her to get the paternity test which cost $$..but if she wants to pay for it you can go along for the ride just to prove her right..as of now really you can just go on with life if you want..but if were you i would not spend the money for the test unless you were at least 50% sure it was your child...you sound very smart, so stay that way....and next time use a condom, they are much cheaper and have less worries behind them..

Well it really sounds like you are not ready to become a father!!
Let me tell you that when you are the father of child you really feel it if you are certain that that is not you child just keep going with your life get the paternity test done and find out for sure and like i said mayme you are not really prepared to become a father and also you have to consider her she had a baby and maybe she does not really know who the father is just wait for the results that is the best you can do in the mid time don't argue with her is not worht it.
