What to do if someone is trying to file your child without your permission and is not even kin to your child?

You will want to contact the IRS and let them know that you suspect this person will try to claim your child without your consent and that they have no legal right to do so. If the child is in foster care, and has been there for at least 7 months, and the foster parents do not get paid by the state to keep the child, then they can legal claim the child, otherwise the state can claim them. If that is not the case, then call the IRS.

Yeah if the child is not related to them, then forget about it! They can't do that. Go ahead and claim your child, they will be in trouble for tax fraud not you :)
