Child passport

My ex-wife and daughter live in the Miami area. She is taking me to court in order to gain a favorable court ruling forcing me to allow her to travel outside the US with my daughter. Can the court system override my parental authority and grant her permission to receive a passport and travel outside the US with my daughter?

I don't have an answer to that one. I guess you find out when the courts make their ruling.

I do not know the legal angle, but why don't you want your daughter to travel?
Do you really have a good reason, or r u just trying to keep your ex from planning a vacation?
Your ex could not move your child to another country. Just to go to Canada needs a passport now.
Unless you have a good reason for denying a passport, I would guess the court could.

I really don't think a combat zone is the appropriate place for a 7 yr old but yet, maybe you do!!

You can present that as a reason to the judge, but more than likely they will let her go if it the mother can prove it isn't dangerous. Where are they going?

You did not say where she wanted to go, I just assumed it was to canada or the carribeans. sorry!
I do not consider a combat zone a good place to go, I do not think a judge would consider that either., I think , as jodi said, that you need to point that out to the judge.
