I would not have your boyfriend sign the birth certificate. Have the father take a paternity test if he is denying he is the father. The father does not have to sign the birth certificate for you to get child support but you would have to prove he is the father. If the father does sign the birth certificate then you will not need to have a paternity test but if he then wants one after signing he will have to pay for it.
Keep the father signature blank if the biological father will not sign. We all wish to stay with the ones we are with but you know nothing is ever guaranteed. Better safe than sorry. You dont want your child asking you why some guys name is one his birth certificate instead of his fathers. It would be easier to explain why it is blank.

Life is confusing enough! Why complicate your child's life. I agree with angierod, DO NOT put a boyfriend's name on the birth certificate. If you want child support, the father may want to be involved in the child's life. A court would probably order your boyfriends name changed to the daddy anyway.

Why would you want your boyfriend to put his name on the birth certificate? Do you really believe that is fair to the childs father. What is the world coming to. If your boyfriend has already signed his name on the birth certficate then he has consented that he is the father. If he hasn't signed I would sujest that he not and put the fathers name on if he is willing. Do you have any dalt who the father really is? You can name anyone as the father of your child and the burden of proof is upon him to deny it and ask for a partinaty teat. I would ask for one if i were he after what your pulling on him. The child deserves to know his or her bilogical parents are.
