If she is a minor and you are her legal guardian/custodial parent, yes (pending the state).
However, this is a you issue. I would suggest waiting until the child is older and let them make the decision. Not doing this makes this wholly and solely what you want, and may in the long run not be what the child wants. (saying she wants to now if under 18 doesn't count). If it's not about the kid your doing it for all the wrong reasons. I am not a lawyer. Just a Dad whose soon alot with 3 sons. Good Luck
