Can I give my dog a laxative?

My dog has been constipated for several days, and is now straining and impacted. She has gone from small, to loose, to watery stools.

Yes, I must agree with Jim here, these are signs of an intestinal obstruction, and this is life threatening. Take heart, it is also a symptom caused by sudden diet change, temp changes, and stress. Please see your vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.

You need to take the dog to a vet. And obstruction can be present. Quick fixes should be avoided
