More than likely your dog has worms, if not worms then your dog just has an itchy butt. Hope this helped!

Sometimes they will eat grass, which is not digestible. It seems to improve regularity. However, if a long piece of grass is coming out it will get stuck halfway in and halfway out. You might have to help your dog. Yes, dogs are disgusting, but so are people.

Worms are a possibility your vet can do a fecal test to tell you for sure BUT your animals anal glands may be impacted the glands are located inside your animals rectum when they become impacted it is uncomfortable for the animal so they scoot to try to express them themselves. Your vet can express his/her anal glands for you which is not very expensive probably 10-15 dollars. GOOD LUCK :)

Yes it is either worms or Anal Glands...easy way to check.....see your dog where he poos and check to see if there are worms in it.....if so, start a course of worming tablets every 3 months doseage is by weight of dog, says on side of packet of tablets. If you see no worms...then you need to get near his butt..sorry thats a bit gross...but, if it smells kind of fishy...its anal glands and needs expressing by the vet nurse or vet and is a quite cheap thing..but if your dog has this once, chances are....he will need this practice a few times a year. Good luck!
