Dogs Vacination

My dog went to the vet 2 weeks ago to have his shots. He got his distemperment shot along with others. We brought him back today to get a second dose of his lyme shot. The vet by mistake gave him another distemperment shot. Is this ok? Should I be worried and call another vet?

I would hope that the vet would say something if it would cause harm. usually you can redo shots but I'm not sure of how long in between it needs to be.

With that said I think if he hasn't reacted to it. He should be fine.

but if you are unhappy with your vet you may want to seek out another vet. To insure mistakes like that will not be made again.

As a vet, I will reassure you that it fine, this will not harm your dog. Vaccinations are given 10-14 days apart, your dog just got an extra boost. No harm done.
