How can I train my puppy to use the puppy pads anywhere?

I have trained my 4 month old Morkie to use training pads in the house, and she does fine even unsupervised. But when I travel with her I can't get her to potty anywhere, even when I put a pad down somewhere she won't go. I like having her pad trained in the house because we live in very cold climate. But I need her to go on pad when I travel, but she will hold it for hours, and I have to cut trip short to get her home to go potty. Any help would really be appreciated :)

Put a lightly soiled pad in a plastic zip lock bag. When you get to your destination, put it down and place her on it. She should begin to get the idea pretty quickly.

I have a small Pomeranian who goes everywhere with me. She has a bag that she will ride in for hours. When she was younger, I was worried, just like you are about her not going potty while we were out. However, she is 8 years old now and she will still hold her potty for a long time when we are away from home, but, she WILL go, when she needs to go. I have learned that it is common for dogs to wait until they are on their home turf before they potty.

Try rubbing your puppy pad on the carpet or area of flooring where you normally leave it in the house for your dog to use, the scent might help him use it, most of all be patient he will soon learn
