How do I get rid of dogs fleas

I have given him a bath in flea soap and sprayed him.
I think that we get rid of them adn he goes outside and picks them back up out of the yard, at this time of year.
Is there somehting that we can put in the yard to kill the fleas?

I generaly have a pest control spray my yard because i cant do it myself ===thete several good yard sprays you can get at your local lows or home depot they connect to water hose and spray some brands are by ortho, spectraside, bayer,just check with the store about every 3 or 4 months

Ortho has great products for flea infestation. There is also a website grandmashomeremedies.com/fleas that gives natural remedies to the problem. I live in South Texas, and as far as flea medication that works for my two dogs, K-9 Advantix works the best.

I'm with Jim....We have our bug man come out and spray the yard as well as the house. (We tried the do-it-yourself stuff, didn't work...just wasted money! ) We use Frontline drops on our dogs. I think the combo keeps the fleas at bay.
