My 11yr old Minpin, post cataract surgery

My 11yr old MinPin had cataract surgery about a yr ago, he likes to lay by the heat register, could this harm his lens implants? He is still receiving prescription eye drops. Also would it be ok to use natural tears for his eyes as needed for dryness after laying by the heater?

It shouldn't, but I would call the vet that did the surgery. they would know or be able to get the specs for the implants from the manufacturing company.

Awww he sounds like such a sweetie. I have a 5 year old red minpin. She loves to lay in the sun spots where it's warm and cuddle underneather blankets. Minpins are natural snuggle bunnies.

I don't see how the heater could hurt his eyes, there may be a drying issue. I would follow up with the vet just to make sure. You should just be able to call and ask about the heater and the natural tears, no fee and no appointment required.
