My one week old puppy is bleeding from rectum and cold but still alive. Is there anything I can do to save her?

My one week old puppy is bleeding from her rectum and cold. She is gasping for air. What would cause this? Is there anything I can do to save her? Is it something contagous? There are sibblings and I don't want to loose them as well. Please help!

No matter what is going on, you will need to seperate the puppies to ensure that if it is something that they others won't get it. Typically puppies born with a congenital problem usually die that first week. My parents and I bred dogs for about 10 years and it's just something that happens sometime, BUT there are many times that you can save puppies if you take them to the vet immediately and feed them yourself. Good luck!

Thank you for your response. The puppy died that evening. Another died two days later. The second puppy had no symptoms. It was listless and cold so I put it on a heating pad and it got to moving around. I fed it a home made puppy formula I got off a internet vet site. The puppy seemed to be getting better. I went to check it about 30 minutes later and found it dead. None of the others seem to be affected with what ever this was. Thank you for trying to help me.
