What is the dumbest large breed dog?

I don't think intelligence can be predicted by breed. I think it's an individual thing. That being said, I've heard that blood hounds and afghan hounds and Russian wolfhounds are among the larger breeds who have a difficult time in working/obedience training.

I don't know of they are the dumbest, but Dalmatians are often inbred. This can lead to the being difficult to train.

There are no dumb dogs, just people who don't know how to train them. Even "dog trainers" who can't train dogs aren't because the dog is dumb, it is because those "trainers" don't know enough HOW to train and WHAT to train. Not every dog learns the same way, just like us people. There are more ways to train a dog something than one or two ways and a lot of people don't know that. So after trying just one or two techniques and the dog doesn't improve then they pass the dog along saying it's "untrainable." So owners are left spending high amounts of money for nothing and they actually learn to believe their dog is dumb. Not true.

Dogs CAN be clumsy, however. They don't realize their sizes or their tails' strength when they whip it around but that doesn't make them dumb. Just silly because they don't know any better.
