Why does my 6 month old chuaha mix puppy eat her own stools?

My puppy was adopted from a local shelter and has had all shots, is spayed, and has been wormed. She seems healthy, is very playful and gets along well with everyone and also other dogs. The only problem is the habit of eating her feces whenever she gets a chance. What is the reason and what do I need to do? Thanks Betty

Please do not be worried, as many pets eat their poo as puppies and they are interested in everything. Eating their stools becomes a quick disguisting habit that needs to be stopped/worked on asap. When they start eatting their own stools too much it can cause worms or a diese.
I have heard to add Adolfs Meat Tenderizer to thier food, or trying Pureed pumpkin, which make thier food less desirable.
