French bulldog URI

My 11 week old French Bulldog has a URI. The vet put him on Baytril 22 mg twice a day for 14 days. I am concerned because of the possible side effects of the drug. I am also concerned that he is not eating well, but is drinking more than usual. He is very tired and just wants to sleep. Am I doing the right thing? Thanks
