How do you get a hamster out of a wall?

My sons hamster has been in the wall for three weeks and I know shes alive because I leave food and water for her and she comes out only when we are sleeping. She is pulling the insulation out of the wall at night. Is there a faster way of getting her out of the wall?

Animals will follow the food. I would place the food out during the DAYTIME, when someone is home. Hamsters are active in the day also, so the little guy (girl?) will come to the food, and VOILA! You can catch the hamster. A bit of advice would be not to leave your hamster unattended so you don't have to go through this again. Best of luck!

How about putting the hampster cage opened on the floor and place food in the cage -- in the spot where he came out last time. Listen for any movement in the cage. This is how we caught our hampster. It took a couple of days, though

You can set a trap. Use a large container like a empty trash can and put food and water in it.
Then make stair with many book, so the rodents will climb the stair fall into the trash can trying to get the food and get trapped there until you come to put him/her in the cage.

Put the trap near the food you previously leave, you should get the hamster in the morning :)

good luck

My hampster did the same.what we did was stayed up all night and left food by the hole and soon she came out and we caught her.also a little tip use an aquarium with a screen top as a cage then it's harder to escape.

Set a figure four trap. There's lots of ways to set animal traps. You can learn how to make and set your own by following guides online.

If you havent caught it by now, then sadly it is probably to late to try anything. There were a lot of great ideas here and I tried them all to catch one years ago. The one using a fish tank worked the best for me. My hamster loved grapes and sunflower seeds.
