Jack Russell Terriers

We have a jack russell terrier that loves to chase lights on ceiling, walls, etc. A couple of weeks ago we were playing with him with a light and ever since then he still is going crazy to find the light even though its put up. What to do?

Get him interested in something else. Buy him a bone or play fetch. Take him out for a walk.

Dogs love routine and are quick to remember things that they love. Like every friday morning I would hid a few treats around the house for my dog to find. Usually under her bed cushion or in her toy box, etc. After a few times of doing this she expected it and ever Friday morning before I could even hid the treats she would look in the areas to i normally hide them to find them.

I had to switch her routine up after that and she eventually stopped doing this.

however some dogs do get a little obessive compulsive about laser pointers. They won't stop looking for the laser even after attention has been diverted. If you have tried all of these things and they haven't worked you could contact vet or animal behavorist that specializes in this sort of thing.
