My african grey plucks. How can I stop her?

When a large bird is plucking feathers out he is nervous stressed out or bored. do you shower your bird once a week and mist him daily. I put a chair in the bath tube and set sugar ( my bird) on the chair and turn on the shower softly and let her sit on the chair while I was there for about 10 min then I would wrap her in a towel too take the dampness out . The other thing I learn in the bird society by dr kerry * bird specialist is to swing your bird what you do is take a white towel because big birds hate white towel for some reason and they well attack it and grab it then pick your towel up with your bird hanging on swing them both back and forth a couple of times. They love it and it helps them from plucking out the feather I did this with sugar a couple times a week and it works miracles
