Aw! That is awful lol!
You can actually have dogs debarked, where the vet will go in a cut their vocal cords. If you aren't a fan of that method, get a squirt bottle and squirt her every time she barks or get a tin can and fill it with pennies. Shake it every time she barks. These are both negative reinforcement (not punishment) which is a very effective method of training or learning no matter what kind of pet you have.

Most Vet's will not debark your dog without a court order, as in your dog barks and barks and your neighbors call the police and you get a nuisance tickett, pay your fine, it happens again and again, and the court orders you to relinquish your dog or have it debarked. The best method is putting some pennies in a tin can. shooting them with a water gun terrorizes dogs. especially the maltese and bichon breeds, they don't like water. and plus its kind of mean. shaking the pennies when they bark will startle them enough to stop their barking. i have a bichon and a maltese myself
