You need to take the dog to the vet,it should not be throwing up. I just had to put my dog to sleep(pit bull) he had a rare muscle desease similar to muscular distrophy in humans. Long story short it attacked his esophogus making it enlarged and he was not able to keep his food or water down, happened very suddenly. You need to find out why he is throwing up.

My soon to be 5 yr old Jack Russell Terrier has been
Throwing up for the last two days. He seems to feel fine? lots of energy, but will with out warning throw up a dark brown substance. It doesn't appear to be bile. Could he have eaten something poisonous? He is only feed Purina Hi Pro dog food with occasional piece of grilled chicken breast. His appetite has not seemed to been affected.
