Puppy with a cough

My puppy flew in with a cough. Vet heard it and put her on Torbutrol-1/2 5 mg tab 3xdaily She coughs then kind of gags. Was tested for worms. Being treated for coccidia. The cough is worse at night. She only has two days pills left and the cough is not getting that much better. She eats well, is energetic though a little fatigued today. What else might be causing the cough? She came to me in WA state from Missouri. She's 14 weeks old and from an accredited kennel. They listened to her heart and said it "Sounds" good and from the way she tears around I have to assume they're right. But sometimes she coughs for quite a while and almost always followed by a gag but nothing comes up.
