Tylenol PM for dogs?
A friend claims his vet told him to give his dog (size/breed unknown) "1/4 of a Tylenol PM", to calm the hyper dog during thunderstorms, which send the dof round the bend w/freaking out.
Is Tylenol not toxic to the liver of dogs/cats? Benadryl I could understand...but attached to acetominophen? Would not something like Advil PM not be safer, potential irritated tummy vs. liver damage? Perhaps my vets are 'old school, and acetominophen is not so toxic as previously believed, for dogs. Please advise.
